On 30 June 2025, Thermador Groupe completed the acquisition of 100% of the shares in company C2AI, headquartered in Décines (Rhône – France), through the purchase of 100% of the shares in its parent company MMT, based 530 chemin des Têts, 38 540 VALENCIN (Isère – France), for a total amount of €8.7 million, paid in cash. Net of debt, the combined net cash position of the two companies as at 30 June 2025 stood at €200k. CIC Lyonnaise de Banque and Société Générale supported Thermador Groupe in this transaction by granting two fixed-rate bank loans with a 7-year term.
C2AI specialises in the development, manufacturing and distribution of measuring instruments, fluid control systems and environmental monitoring equipment for a broad industrial client base. In 2024, its turnover amounted to €11.3m and EBITDA to €1,423k. The company employs 45 people in France, around thirty of whom are based in the Lyon area. Its products, solutions and technical services will perfectly complement those offered by Sectoriel and Distrilabo, which also operate in the large French market for instrumentation, regulation and fluid control in the industrial sector. Gilles Marchand, founder of C2AI and aged 62, will remain as CEO to continue developing the business and support its integration within the Thermador group until 31 December 2029.
