Our stakeholders

The subsidiaries of the Thermador Group operate in an environment made up of stakeholders who have an influence on our activities. We give priority to exchange, transparency and listening in all our economic and social relations. This ongoing dialogue enables us to understand and integrate their expectations into the Group’s strategic orientations, operations and commitments.

Thermador Groupe has identified five major stakeholders:

  • The employees, who contribute their work, skills, know-how and interpersonal skills.
  • Our customers, whether distributors or end-users, provide the economic lifeblood of the Group through their purchases.
  • Investors, shareholders or bankers, who provide the capital needed for investment, stability and growth.
  • Suppliers and partners who provide goods and services essential to the business.
  • Public, local and regulatory authorities

Working conditions in our value chain and respect for human rights

The Group is actively committed to ensuring respect for human and social rights throughout its supply chain. This vigilance is based on long-term relationships with suppliers, regular visits and audits, both in-house and outsourced. To reinforce the monitoring of compliance and responsible practices, a structured system has been put in place. It includes an alert mechanism, a responsible purchasing charter, an evaluation tool incorporating CSR criteria, and an audit-based control system. These measures enable rigorous monitoring, while leaving subsidiaries free to organize their own audits. In addition, as a member of the United Nations Global Compact since 2021, Thermador Groupe ensures respect for fundamental human rights principles throughout its supply chain.

Supplier relations, responsible purchasing and trade

Our business conduct is based on these simple principles: to be attentive to their sustainability, to the quality of the products or services they offer, and to their ethics. As suppliers provide us with the goods and services essential to our business, they are one of our most important stakeholders. We strive to maintain long-term relationships based on trust and transparency. For example, 21% of our purchases have been made with the same suppliers for over 40 years. To formalize these commitments, three of our key non-financial performance indicators are based on our relationships with suppliers, and one is based on the percentage of sales generated by ISO 9001 or 14001-certified subsidiaries. We are pursuing our commitment to developing a demanding Corporate Social Responsibility policy, and to formalizing the ethical behavior expected of all our stakeholders through our Code of Conduct and Responsible Purchasing Charter.

Solidarity and philanthropy

The Group has drawn up a policy setting out the rules for donations, sponsorship and patronage. It can be consulted on our website. In 2019, we initiated a Group-level partnership with the Apprentis d’Auteuil foundation. In 2023, the Executive Committee has decided to go one step further by committing all its subsidiaries to charity and by adopting a number of common threads, which are linked to our historic partnerships and our businesses: education, which is our historic common thread, employee initiatives to support their involvement, and the circular economy in connection with our products. Through these various types of actions, our companies aim to provide financial or material support to charities, social, cultural or sporting initiatives in order to promote our values.
